My name is Robin Jenkins, owner and project manager. I grew up in the residential construction industry. Prior to founding RJ Consulting, I worked as a Facilities Manager for AMRESCO, Inc. from early 1997-late 1999. I learned commercial construction and management on projects ranging from simple maintenance tasks to a full remodel of a 200,000 square foot and the restacking of six floors of demanding tenants in a downtown Dallas office building, as well as computer labs, commercial file conversion facilities, training rooms, and A/V sites. With AMRESCO I worked to negotiate, plan, purchase and install, $1.8 million worth of furniture for a single site.
I went to work for Charter Associates from late 1999 to late 2013 as a project manager, completing projects of all types, i.e. dining facilities, data centers, office renovation, and the conversion of a historical building to condos. My primary clients while with Charter Associates were Associates Corporation, CitiGroup, Amicus Interests and Digital Realty Trust.
RJ Consulting LLC was started in late 2013, where I continued to work with datacenter clients to complete spec datacenters with fast paced schedules, managing architects, engineers, general contractors, equipment providers and commissioning agents, as well as working with tenants to complete the service level agreement scope as noted in each lease. Ground up construction is one of my loves and I worked with a group of doctors to construct a 200,000sf medical office building sitting atop a 400,000sf parking garage in the Baylor Dallas district. A new medical office building in Plano TX is currently underway with an expected completion in early 2020.
I also worked for a general contractor from mid-2017 to mid-2018 as a project manager and completed several small remodels and a restaurant in Roanoke.
I have managed as many as 15 projects in various sizes and scopes simultaneously.
With an engineer's zeal to know how things work and a love for working with people, I have had success with architects, contractors and telecom installers as well as corporate and individual clients.

I see each project as an opportunity to refine my skill set and add new knowledge about specific disciplines. I believe each new piece of information gained improves my ability to better advise my clients on their best individual solutions.
I am a continuous student of the trade and take on any new task wholeheartedly and with an open mind. As an owner’s representative, I am very industrious and will work to give each owner/client the best representation as well as to advise the best course of action to achieve the client’s goals.
